Glow dreaming machine
$$$
One of our most loved baby purchase. It has been on 24/7 for almost 4 years and hasn’t skipped a beat! We use it for helping our newborns sleep and then when older, drowning out background noise during naps and overnight. The light has multiple levels making it ideal for overnight feeds and changes. The vaporiser can be used with it without the light and sound. It does make the walls wet and wallpaper peel like other machine like this, which makes it perfect for us! This machine is quite literally the first thing we pack when traveling as it makes any room feel like home and therefore my kids sleep well when away! You can use the code ‘manda10’ for 10% off.
Rudie Nudie Mat
$$$
This is one of my go-to gifts! This super soft mat is actually waterproof! It is the handiest thing a new mum can have! Use it for nappy-free time to avoid nappy rash. Use it for water or sensory play to avoid a big cleanup. Use it as a picnic rug, beach mat or blanket for mums group or rhyme time classes. As baby grows this super useful product can be used in carseats, on couches and in beds during toilet training or sickness! It is machine washable and an absolute life saver!
2 in 1 termometer
$
Instant and accurate readings - Highly accurate and calibrated for measurements via the ear or forehead using the latest infrared technology. Reliable readings within 0.2 ℃. Memory Function - Recall the last 35 temperature measurements to easily and reliably track temperatures over time. Green, orange and red lights indicate temperature levels so you’re not relying on googling “is 37.6 a fever for a 15 month old”.
A must have
$
These little cloths are a must have for any mum! They are super soft and thinner than your usual wash cloth which means they are much easier to use on little faces and between tiny toes. We use these in the bath during the newborn stage and for mealtime cleanups once solids are introduced. Even now, I use these more than any other baby product i own! Although i don’t personally, i do know some eco-friendly mums who even use these as reusable nappy change wipes!
Snot sucker
$
Sounds grosser than it is. I assure you there is a filter in there so there is no way the boogie would ever get through to your mouth! These work a million times better than those awful bulb things and when you have a baby that is so congested they can’t breath you want something that works!
Nursing Pillow
$$
I actually never had one of these with Maisie and as a result i struggled a lot with sore shoulders. Second time around i borrowed one from a friend and my life was changed! Even if you’re not planning on breastfeeding this allows you to support your baby and have a one hand free. Some feeding pillows have a strap back but personally i find this simple design a lot more practical. You can use it as a tummy time support and for sitting practice as baby your grows.
Silk sleep mask
$
Available in a range of colours this 100% silk mask was my saviour in those first few months of having a baby! In the hospital i could rest during labour, despite it being in the middle of the day thus conserving my energy and being able to enjoy Maisie in those first few hours after delivery. After we went home i wore this to block out the morning sun, enabling me to nap after being up all night feeding. An absolute must have! I found the silk is super gentle on skin and eyes. Much better than my other masks.
Sleep bag
$$
Sleep bags are an essential for safe sleep now days. Love to dream is a very popular choice for newborns. I would opt for a small sized bag rather than a newborn size to get more use out of it. Maisie went straight into a small size when she was born (newborn was too small) and Denny was big enough after about 3 or 4 weeks (we just used a regular swaddle before then). If you want to buy a medium size bag, i would recommend the transitional one (arms zip off) as once babies start rolling they need to have their hands free for safety.
Pram Fan
$
Whether it’s a summer baby or winter baby, the chances are a new parent will need one of these at some point in their first year. This particular model is rechargeable (just plug it into your phone charger-perfect for holidays) and has a safety cage meaning no cheeky hands ripping off foam blades!
High contrast tummy time mirror
Newborns are attracted to high-contrast patterns as it is one of the easiest things they can see with their new, developing vision. Exposing baby to such images helps promote visual development. The beauty of this toy is it can be transformed to chow lots of different images, as well as turning into a tummy time mirror. Looking at themselves in a mirror during tummy time helps strengthen core muscles in preparation for sitting and crawling.
For the downstairs
$$
These perineal ice packs remain flexible and soft even when frozen to provide the most comfortable relief. The ice pack conveniently contours to the shape of your perineal area in order to provide a discreet and comfortable experience. Each ice pack comes with a soft terry cloth washable sleeve that is soft and soothing on the skin. These were a lifesaver after my episiotomy with Maisie. I actually still use them as cold packs when i get a headache or if one of the kids has a fall.

My favourite belly cream
$
Stretch marks come down to your genetics but there is something to be said for belly balms during pregnancy. Stretching skin on tummies and breasts can be uncomfortable and after trying a lot of different brands myself i found this one to be far superior It smells so beautiful, feels really nice on, is soothing and free of petrochemicals.
