Glow dreaming machine

$$$

One of our most loved baby purchase. It has been on 24/7 for almost 4 years and hasn’t skipped a beat! We use it for helping our newborns sleep and then when older, drowning out background noise during naps and overnight. The light has multiple levels making it ideal for overnight feeds and changes. The vaporiser can be used with it without the light and sound. It does make the walls wet and wallpaper peel like other machine like this, which makes it perfect for us! This machine is quite literally the first thing we pack when traveling as it makes any room feel like home and therefore my kids sleep well when away! You can use the code ‘manda10’ for 10% off.

Rudie Nudie Mat

$$$

This is one of my go-to gifts! This super soft mat is actually waterproof! It is the handiest thing a new mum can have! Use it for nappy-free time to avoid nappy rash. Use it for water or sensory play to avoid a big cleanup. Use it as a picnic rug, beach mat or blanket for mums group or rhyme time classes. As baby grows this super useful product can be used in carseats, on couches and in beds during toilet training or sickness! It is machine washable and an absolute life saver!

The perfect nappy bag

$$$

Never underestimate the joys of a nice nappy bag! This one opens up super wide so its super easy to find what you need with one hand. It has all the usual essentials and It comes in back.

2 in 1 termometer

$

Instant and accurate readings - Highly accurate and calibrated for measurements via the ear or forehead using the latest infrared technology. Reliable readings within 0.2 ℃. Memory Function - Recall the last 35 temperature measurements to easily and reliably track temperatures over time. Green, orange and red lights indicate temperature levels so you’re not relying on googling “is 37.6 a fever for a 15 month old”.

Mess free memories

$

These are so great! I used them for both of my babies. You push their hands or feed into the pad and the imprint gets transferred to the paper. Such a gorgeous addition for the baby book!

Baby towel

$

You can’t go past bamboo for baby towels. Super soft yet absorbent. We have these ones and they’ve lasted through multiple babies.

Pram Caddy

$$

If you’re anything like me you will live our of your pram caddy! It’s so nice to have the option of a free pram basket, especially when grocery shopping. Don’t let the small size fool you, these fit everything you need for a few hours out and about!

A must have

$

These little cloths are a must have for any mum! They are super soft and thinner than your usual wash cloth which means they are much easier to use on little faces and between tiny toes. We use these in the bath during the newborn stage and for mealtime cleanups once solids are introduced. Even now, I use these more than any other baby product i own! Although i don’t personally, i do know some eco-friendly mums who even use these as reusable nappy change wipes!

Boon Grass

$

Whether you plan on breastfeeding or bottle feeding this drying grass will be super handy! I use mine all the time for safety drying sterilised pump parts, bottles, dummies, toys and teethers.

Nail snail

$

Babies nails grow insanely fast and to stop them scratching themselves (and you) you need to regularly cut their nails. This is what we use and it is an absolutely genius invention! You simply slide it over babies finger and it trims the nail without hurting baby at all!

Trimo

$

Another nail cutting option is the Trimo which is basically a little electric sander for tiny nails.

Snot sucker

$

Sounds grosser than it is. I assure you there is a filter in there so there is no way the boogie would ever get through to your mouth! These work a million times better than those awful bulb things and when you have a baby that is so congested they can’t breath you want something that works!

Electric snot sucker

$$

If sucking it manually is not your thing and you don’t mind spending a bit more then this is a great alternative!

Nappy change mat

$

A travel nappy change mat with storage for nappies, wipes and creams comes in so handy! This one is great as its completely machine washable and folds up nice and small.

Nursing Pillow

$$

I actually never had one of these with Maisie and as a result i struggled a lot with sore shoulders. Second time around i borrowed one from a friend and my life was changed! Even if you’re not planning on breastfeeding this allows you to support your baby and have a one hand free. Some feeding pillows have a strap back but personally i find this simple design a lot more practical. You can use it as a tummy time support and for sitting practice as baby your grows.

Silk sleep mask

$

Available in a range of colours this 100% silk mask was my saviour in those first few months of having a baby! In the hospital i could rest during labour, despite it being in the middle of the day thus conserving my energy and being able to enjoy Maisie in those first few hours after delivery. After we went home i wore this to block out the morning sun, enabling me to nap after being up all night feeding. An absolute must have! I found the silk is super gentle on skin and eyes. Much better than my other masks.

Multi-purpose cover

$

I loved this so much that when i lost it i immediately purchased a new one!

Sleep bag

$$

Sleep bags are an essential for safe sleep now days. Love to dream is a very popular choice for newborns. I would opt for a small sized bag rather than a newborn size to get more use out of it. Maisie went straight into a small size when she was born (newborn was too small) and Denny was big enough after about 3 or 4 weeks (we just used a regular swaddle before then). If you want to buy a medium size bag, i would recommend the transitional one (arms zip off) as once babies start rolling they need to have their hands free for safety.

Haakaa

$$

For breastfeeding mums a letdown catcher like this is a game changer! You can pop it on your other breast while baby nurses and build up a freezer stash without any additional effort or time actively pumping.

Pram Fan

$

Whether it’s a summer baby or winter baby, the chances are a new parent will need one of these at some point in their first year. This particular model is rechargeable (just plug it into your phone charger-perfect for holidays) and has a safety cage meaning no cheeky hands ripping off foam blades!

Name blanket

$$$

If you’re lucky enough to know baby’s name before they are born then this is a practical, beautiful and sentimental give the new mum is sure to adore. You can use the discount code ‘MANDAGRAM10’ for a cheeky discount.

Keepsake box

$$$

If you are able to hold off until baby is born then this is a really beautiful gift! I love my keepsake box and i have so many treasured memories inside!

Baby Book

$$

These baby books are simply beautiful. I one for each of my children and the prompts make recording milestones super easy! I love reading back through my own baby book and know my children will be the same. Use code ‘mandagram’ for a discount.

Sophie the Giraffe set

$$

I’m yet to meet a baby who is not obsessed with these toys. There is a reason they are so popular! The ring one is perfect for tiny babies first learning to grasp, while the larger giraffe is a favourite among teething bubs.

Brush set

$

A simple yet beautiful gift that will last through the newborn stage, right into toddlerhood.

High contrast tummy time mirror

Newborns are attracted to high-contrast patterns as it is one of the easiest things they can see with their new, developing vision. Exposing baby to such images helps promote visual development. The beauty of this toy is it can be transformed to chow lots of different images, as well as turning into a tummy time mirror. Looking at themselves in a mirror during tummy time helps strengthen core muscles in preparation for sitting and crawling.

Shnuggle bath

$$

Save space and your back! We love this baby bath. it features-

  • Bum bump helps to prevent baby sliding in the water

  • Foam backrest for comfort

  • Handy plug to empty

  • Creates an upright and comfy position for baby at any age

OXO to go

$

Wipes on hand for quick access on the go. With a large button for easy, one-handed opening and a silicone tether that securely attaches the dispenser to pram handles or changing bag straps. 4 years on, I actually have mine in the car now for easy access after drive-thru babychinos.

Munch Mitt

$

This is something that both my babies loved but not something new mums think to buy themselves until their babies are already in the midst of teething.

Coffee & Phone holder

$$

This universal attachment fits all prams. Perfect for a mum on the go. What i love about this particular model is that the phone section faces the phone out with a visible screen so you can read a new message without taking it out. Perfect for a busy mum on the go!

Personalise it

$$

Another much loved book in our house is this personlised one i got for Maisie when i was pregnant with her brother. It goes through how things might change but there will be so much more love and adventures to come!

Hot/cold packs for breasts

$$

Whether a new mum plans of breastfeeding or not these are super helpful in those first few days/months after delivery. Use them cold to relieve discomfort and pain. Use them warm before expressing to optimise colostrum/milk flow.

A must have for breastfeeding mums

$

I cannot describe how much i love these things! They are absolute heaven, particularly when kept in the fridge. I honestly probably would have given up breastfeeding without these bad boys!

For the downstairs

$$

These perineal ice packs remain flexible and soft even when frozen to provide the most comfortable relief. The ice pack conveniently contours to the shape of your perineal area in order to provide a discreet and comfortable experience. Each ice pack comes with a soft terry cloth washable sleeve that is soft and soothing on the skin. These were a lifesaver after my episiotomy with Maisie. I actually still use them as cold packs when i get a headache or if one of the kids has a fall.

Healing pad liners

$

These little pad liners are super easy to use and help promote healing after birth.

Peri bottle

$

Seems like a bit of a strange gift but if you’re planning on making a little hamper as a gift for a new mum this would be a great addition. It helps those first after birth toilet trips feel a lot more comfortable and aids in keeping stitches clean and healing nicely.

Birthing book

$$

Your Baby, Your Birth will teach you-

  • That birth is safe - listen to your body, embrace the changes, prepare your mind and relax during pregnancy.

  • Exercises and breathing techniques for labour and birth for you and your birth partner, along with guided meditations to keep you calm and engaged.

  • How to trust your instincts, understand your body and baby, and make informed decisions throughout your pregnancy and beyond

My favourite belly cream
